Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Dialysis
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in dialysis to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis treatments. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform assessments of patients' physical and psychosocial needs before, during, and after dialysis treatments
- Administer dialysis treatments according to prescribed protocols, including monitoring vital signs, assessing treatment effectiveness, and responding to any complications
- Educate patients and their families about kidney disease, dialysis treatments, and self-care strategies to promote optimal health outcomes
- Collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare providers to develop individualized care plans for each patient
- Monitor patients for signs of infection, complications, or adverse reactions to dialysis treatments
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous training to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in dialysis nursing
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in dialysis nursing
- Certification in Nephrology Nursing (CNN) or Dialysis Nursing preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Compassion and empathy for patients undergoing dialysis treatments
