Job title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER), you will play a crucial role in providing immediate medical care to patients during emergency situations. You will assess patient conditions, administer medications, perform emergency procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and triage patients upon arrival in the Emergency Room
2. Perform medical procedures, such as inserting IV lines and administering medications
3. Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition
4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans
5. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and follow-up care
6. Document patient information accurately and timely
7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
8. Maintain a sterile and safe environment for patients and staff
9. Provide emotional support to patients and families during difficult times
10. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on emergency medicine practices
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of employment
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
3. CPR certification
4. ACLS certification
5. PALS certification
6. At least 2 years of experience in emergency medicine
7. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
9. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
10. Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
