Job title: Registered Nurse (RN) - OR - Circulate
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) Circulate role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of surgical patients before, during, and after procedures. You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare the operating room and equipment for surgical procedures
2. Assist with patient positioning and ensure proper sterile techniques are followed
3. Monitor patients during surgery and anticipate the needs of the surgical team
4. Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation of patient care
5. Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
6. Provide emotional support to patients and their families before and after surgery
7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
4. Strong communication and critical thinking skills
5. Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
6. Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care
