Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Emergency Room Nurse to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and efficient emergency medical care to patients in critical condition. As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will play a vital part in assessing patients, administering treatment, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Triage and assess patients on arrival, identifying the severity and urgency of their conditions.
2. Provide emergency medical care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and managing life-threatening situations.
3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans and interventions.
4. Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately and comprehensively.
5. Adhere to established protocols and standards of care, maintaining patient safety and privacy at all times.
6. Administer emergency interventions and perform resuscitation procedures when necessary.
7. Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care, lifestyle changes, and medication management.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring equipment and supplies are readily available.
9. Participate in professional development activities, staying updated on current evidence-based practices and emergency care guidelines.
10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless patient transitions and coordinate appropriate follow-up care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or an Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
2. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency department or critical care setting.
4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
5. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
6. Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills in emergency situations.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
8. Ability to remain calm, focused, and prioritize tasks in high-stress and time-sensitive situations.
9. Proficiency in understanding and utilizing various medical equipment and technologies.
10. Knowledge of legal and ethical standards in emergency care.
