Job title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Skilled Nursing
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Inpatient Skilled Nursing unit is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a long-term care setting. This includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' health status
2. Developing individualized care plans based on assessment findings
3. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
4. Monitoring and evaluating patient responses to interventions
5. Educating patients and their families about their health conditions and treatment options
6. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services
7. Documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
8. Providing emotional support and encouragement to patients and their families
9. Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
10. Adhering to all relevant nursing standards and regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice
2. Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a long-term care setting
3. BLS certification
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
7. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
8. Proficiency in electronic health record systems
9. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
10. Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
