Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. You will play a crucial role in the overall healthcare team by ensuring the comfort and well-being of individuals in long-term care facilities, hospitals, and other healthcare settings.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting residents with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare providers
- Feeding residents who are unable to feed themselves
- Turning and repositioning bedridden patients to prevent bedsores
- Assisting with range of motion exercises and physical therapy
- Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents
- Documenting patient interactions and care provided
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Compassionate and patient personality
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures
