Job title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients. You will assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients in critical condition.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform physical assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in the ICU
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide nursing care to critically ill patients
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care for patients
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on their conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BSN or higher degree in nursing
- ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
