Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and high-intensity environment. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess patients' condition, including vital signs and indicators of wellness.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
4. Respond swiftly to changes in patients' conditions and provide appropriate interventions.
5. Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
7. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
8. Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on the latest medical practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
3. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
4. BLS and ACLS certifications.
5. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
7. Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
8. Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
