Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)
Job Summary:
As an RN in the Emergency Room, you will be responsible for providing immediate and specialized care to patients in critical conditions. You will assess patients, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and triage patients based on severity of condition
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
3. Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatment
4. Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
5. Educate patients and their families on treatment options and follow-up care
6. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
7. Respond to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed
8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS and ACLS certifications
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting
4. Strong critical thinking and communication skills
5. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
6. High level of empathy and compassion for patients and their families
7. Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
8. Strong organizational and time management skills
