Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room team. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after cardiovascular procedures. This position requires excellent critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare patients for surgery by checking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and assisting with positioning
- Assist surgeons during procedures by handing instruments, monitoring patient status, and providing support as needed
- Monitor patient recovery post-surgery and provide appropriate care and medications
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in the state of employment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiovascular operating room nursing
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
