Job Title: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
Job Summary: A Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) works in a variety of settings to provide support, resources, and assistance to individuals and families facing social, emotional, and psychological challenges. They assess clients' needs, develop treatment plans, and provide counseling and advocacy to facilitate positive outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop treatment plans
2. Provide individual and group counseling to address emotional and behavioral issues
3. Advocate for clients' rights and access to resources and services
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and referrals
5. Monitor clients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
6. Assist clients in navigating social service systems and accessing community resources
7. Document and maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress
8. Provide crisis intervention and support in times of emergency or distress
9. Educate clients and their families on mental health and social issues
10. Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
2. Current LMSW licensure in the state of practice
3. Experience working in a clinical setting with diverse populations
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Knowledge of mental health and social service systems
7. Empathy and compassion for individuals in need
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards
9. Strong organizational and time management skills
10. Proficiency in electronic health record systems
