Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will be responsible for providing patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of patients throughout the surgical process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and monitoring patients before, during, and after surgery
2. Assisting with surgical procedures by providing instruments and supplies to surgeons
3. Administering medications and anesthesia as directed
4. Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to any changes in condition
5. Educating patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery
6. Maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room
7. Collaborating with other members of the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care
8. Participating in ongoing education and training to stay current on surgical techniques and best practices
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
