Job title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The PCU Nurse will monitor and assess patients, collaborate with healthcare team members, and administer medications under the direction of a physician.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide ongoing assessments
- Administer medications and treatment as prescribed by the physician
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare management and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a progressive care unit or similar setting
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
