Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in Long Term Care (LTC) facility, you will be responsible for providing essential care and assistance to residents with daily living activities. Your role is crucial in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of residents under your care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting activities
- Provide support with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Help residents with mobility and transferring to and from beds or wheelchairs
- Monitor and record vital signs, dietary intake, and other health-related information
- Assist nursing staff with medical procedures and treatments
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
- Compassionate and empathetic towards the needs of elderly and disabled individuals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions
- Physical stamina to assist residents with daily tasks and activities
