Job Title: LNA - Long Term Care
Job Summary:
As a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Your primary goal will be to support and assist elderly or disabled residents with their daily activities and ensure their overall well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist residents with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and toileting
- Help residents with mobility by transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or assisting with walking
- Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Serve meals and assist residents with feeding
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Follow care plans and adhere to facility policies and procedures
- Document all care provided to residents accurately and in a timely manner
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current LNA certification in the state of employment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassion and empathy towards elderly or disabled individuals
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting and bending
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
