Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Long Term Care (LTC) setting, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities to residents in a long-term care facility. You will work under the supervision of licensed nurses to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of residents.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting
- Take and record vital signs
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Report any changes in residents' condition to the nursing staff
- Follow the care plan and communicate with the healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of care for residents
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Certification as a CNA
- Good communication skills
- Compassion and empathy for the elderly and disabled
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Physical stamina to lift and move residents as needed
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
