Job Title: CNA - Psych/BHU
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working in the Behavioral Health Unit (BHU), you will provide care and support to patients with mental health challenges. You will work under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals to assist in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and document patient behavior and vital signs
- Support patients in participating in therapeutic activities and treatment plans
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the safety and well-being of patients
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients in distress
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for patients and staff
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid CNA certification
- Previous experience working with psychiatric or behavioral health patients preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients
- Empathy and compassion for individuals with mental health challenges
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job
