Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Float, Inpatient Float provides comprehensive patient care in various units within the healthcare facility. This role requires flexibility and adaptability to work in different departments as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and prioritize patient care needs across different units.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
3. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
4. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the attending physician.
5. Educate patients and their families on disease management and treatment plans.
6. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in nursing care.
7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
8. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients during their hospital stay.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
3. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
