Job Title: Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) - Operating Room (OR)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Surgical First Assistant to join our dynamic Operating Room (OR) team. The CSFA will work alongside surgeons to provide high-quality patient care during surgical procedures. This individual will be responsible for assisting with surgical procedures, ensuring a safe operating environment, and maintaining sterile techniques in the OR.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments, sutures, and supplies
- Maintain sterile field during surgeries to prevent infection
- anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide support as required
- Ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and maintained
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in the OR
- Assist with patient transfers to and from the operating room
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification required
- Previous experience working in a surgical setting
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
