Job title: Laboratory - Med Tech (MT)
Job Summary:
A Laboratory - Med Tech (MT) is responsible for performing various laboratory tests to provide accurate and timely information to healthcare providers for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. They must ensure that all tests are conducted in accordance with established protocols and quality control standards.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform a variety of routine and complex laboratory tests using various techniques and equipment.
2. Analyze test results and communicate findings to healthcare providers.
3. Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
4. Ensure compliance with all laboratory regulations and safety standards.
5. Participate in research and development projects to improve laboratory techniques and procedures.
6. Train and supervise other laboratory staff as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
2. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) required.
3. Experience working in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
4. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Knowledge of laboratory information systems and other relevant software.
