Job title: Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) specializing in Long Term Care (LTC), you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and assisting residents with activities of daily living in a long-term care facility. You will work under the supervision of licensed nurses and support the overall well-being of residents in a compassionate and professional manner.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist residents with bathing, grooming, feeding, and toileting
- Take vital signs and report any changes in resident conditions to nursing staff
- Help residents with mobility and transferring to and from beds or wheelchairs
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Document and report observations and care provided to ensure accurate patient records
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans for residents
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassion and empathy towards residents
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients when necessary
