Job Title: Progressive Care/Stepdown - Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care/Stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care for patients who require intermediate medical care and monitoring. This role involves assessing patient conditions, administering medications, collaborating with healthcare teams, and educating patients and their families on treatment plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing and monitoring patient vital signs and conditions
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans
- Educating patients and families on medical conditions and treatments
- Responding to and managing any emergency situations that may arise
- Documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate medical records
- Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Progressive Care/Stepdown unit
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Flexibility to work different shifts as needed
