Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room (ER) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing emergency care to patients in critical condition, assessing their needs, and implementing treatment plans to ensure their safety and well-being. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide efficient and effective care to patients in high-stress situations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess patients' conditions and triage based on severity of illness or injury
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
3. Monitor and record patients' vital signs and response to treatment
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
5. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
6. Assist in emergency procedures and surgeries as needed
7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment
8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
9. Participate in continuing education and training programs
10. Handle stressful situations with professionalism and composure
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting
3. BLS and ACLS certification
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
6. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
7. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
8. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
9. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
10. Compassionate and empathetic demeanor towards patients and their families
