Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to pediatric patients in emergency situations, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing and triaging pediatric patients in emergency situations
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitoring and recording patient vital signs
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Educating patients and their families on care instructions and follow-up care
- Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
- Adhering to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and PALS certification
- 2+ years of experience in pediatric emergency room or similar setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
