Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Float, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced critical care setting. This role will require flexibility and adaptability to work in various ICU units as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess patients' condition and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
2. Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments and medications.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care.
4. Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
5. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and care procedures.
6. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care.
7. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active RN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU nursing.
3. BLS and ACLS certification.
4. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends.
