Job title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor & Delivery (L&D) team. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process. This role requires excellent clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a strong commitment to patient safety and well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor fetal heart rates and assist with the delivery process
2. Administer medications and pain management techniques as needed
3. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
5. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
6. Assist with postpartum care and breastfeeding support as needed
7. Maintain a safe and clean working environment for patients and staff
8. Stay current on best practices and evidence-based guidelines in labor and delivery nursing
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
3. At least 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
4. BLS and ACLS certifications
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
7. Knowledge of electronic medical records systems
8. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
