Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Float, Inpatient Float will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various units within the hospital. This position requires flexibility and adaptability as the RN will be assigned to different departments based on staffing needs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patients' care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for patients
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Flexibility to work in various units within the hospital
