Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER), Float, Med Surg
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team as an ER Float Nurse. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality medical care to patients in the Emergency Room, as well as float to other units such as Medical Surgical when needed. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and gain experience in a variety of clinical settings.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide emergency medical care to patients in the ER
- Float to Medical Surgical unit to provide care to patients as needed
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and treatments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency room and medical surgical nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
