Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Wound Care
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse with expertise in wound care to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with acute and chronic wounds, ensuring proper wound healing and infection control. The Registered Nurse (RN) - Wound Care will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare providers to develop individualized care plans and provide education on wound management.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing patients with acute and chronic wounds to determine the appropriate treatment plan.
2. Providing wound care treatments such as dressing changes, debridement, and wound irrigation.
3. Monitoring and evaluating wound healing progress.
4. Collaborating with other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
5. Educating patients and families on wound care techniques and prevention strategies.
6. Ensuring infection control practices are followed to prevent complications.
7. Documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records.
8. Participating in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
3. Certification in wound care (WOCN, CWOCN, etc.) preferred.
4. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on wound care.
5. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
