Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Radiology (IR)
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Radiology (IR) is responsible for providing nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. They work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout the procedure.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and monitoring patients before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.
2. Administering medications and intravenous fluids as directed by the physician.
3. Assisting with patient positioning and preparation for procedures.
4. Collaborating with radiology technologists and physicians to ensure the accuracy and safety of procedures.
5. Educating patients and their families about the interventional radiology procedures and post-procedure care.
6. Documenting patient care and treatment in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
7. Responding to emergencies and providing immediate care as needed.
8. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment in the interventional radiology suite.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
3. Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in interventional radiology or a related field.
4. BLS and ACLS certification.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
7. Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
8. Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and equipment.
