Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room (OR)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR), you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient patient care during surgical procedures. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients undergoing surgery.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Preparing operating rooms for surgery
2. Assisting surgeons during procedures
3. Monitoring patients before, during, and after surgery
4. Administering medications and anesthesia as needed
5. Educating patients and families on post-operative care
6. Maintaining accurate patient records
7. Ensuring sterile technique is maintained at all times
8. Collaborating with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care
9. Participating in quality improvement initiatives
10. Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
3. CPR and ACLS certification required
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Operating Room (OR) setting
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
7. Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
8. Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
