Job title: Registered Nurse (RN) Stepdown
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Stepdown unit. The RN will be responsible for providing quality care to patients who are transitioning from the ICU to a lower level of care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for helping patients recover and progress towards discharge.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, lab results, and symptoms
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on post ICU care and self-management strategies
- Document all patient interactions and interventions accurately in the electronic health record
- Respond to patient emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff members
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care setting, preferably in Stepdown or ICU
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
