Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room (ER)
Job Summary:
As an RN in the Emergency Room (ER), you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in emergency situations. You will assess patients, create care plans, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and triage patients upon arrival in the ER
2. Provide emergency medical treatment and interventions as needed
3. Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
4. Monitor patients' progress and adjust care plans as necessary
5. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
6. Educate patients and their families about their condition and treatment options
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in the ER
4. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
7. Proficient in computer documentation systems
