Job Title: Administrative Health Unit Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Health Unit Coordinator to oversee the administrative operations of our health unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient records, scheduling appointments, communicating with healthcare providers, and ensuring the smooth operation of the unit.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain electronic health records and patient information
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits
- Coordinate communication between healthcare providers, patients, and families
- Assist with billing and insurance processing
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies
- Provide administrative support to healthcare staff as needed
- Order and maintain supplies for the health unit
- Assist with organizing and coordinating health initiatives and programs
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration preferred
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare administration or related field
- Proficient in electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and policies
