Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room (ER)
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER) is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients during urgent medical situations. They must be able to assess and prioritize patient needs, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess patients' conditions and prioritize care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and update medical records
- Perform medical procedures such as IV insertion, wound care, and intubation
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed
