Job title: Registered Nurse (RN) Clinic, Infusion Therapy, Oncology
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinic's infusion therapy department, specializing in oncology patients. The ideal candidate will provide quality care to patients receiving intravenous medications and treatments, while also offering support and education to patients and their families throughout their journey with cancer.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy and other infusion therapies
- Assess and manage side effects and toxicities of treatments
- Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment options, side effects, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment progress
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies and procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Certification in infusion therapy and/or oncology nursing preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with prior experience in oncology or infusion therapy highly desired
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
