Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room (ER)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER), you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals in emergency medical situations. You will assess patients, create treatment plans, and administer medications while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct initial patient assessments and triage patients based on their medical needs
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
3. Monitor and record patient vital signs and progress
4. Communicate with patients and their families to provide education on the treatment plan and ongoing care
5. Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
6. Respond to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed
7. Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records
8. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to maintain patient safety and confidentiality
9. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices in emergency nursing
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
3. At least 2 years of experience in emergency nursing
4. BLS and ACLS certifications
5. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
6. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
8. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
9. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
10. Compassionate and patient-centered care approach
