Job title: Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg/Telemetry, Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg/Telemetry unit of the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients who are recovering from surgical procedures, experiencing acute medical conditions, or require monitoring and treatment for telemetry-related issues. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to assess patient needs, develop care plans, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess patient health status and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and telemetry readings
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and care provided
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a Med Surg/Telemetry or Progressive Care Unit setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
