Job Title: Administrative - Birth Registrar

Job Summary:

The Administrative - Birth Registrar is responsible for accurately registering the births that occur within a healthcare facility. They maintain detailed records, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and provide support to new parents during the registration process.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Collect and verify information from parents and medical staff for birth registration.

2. Enter birth data into electronic health records and government databases.

3. Ensure all birth registration forms are filled out accurately and in a timely manner.

4. Provide support and information to new parents regarding the registration process.

5. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate record-keeping.

7. Stay current on regulations and guidelines related to birth registration.

8. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to birth records.

9. Organize and maintain birth records in a secure and organized manner.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.

2. Previous experience in healthcare administration or birth registration preferred.

3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

4. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

6. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to birth registration.

7. Proficiency in computer skills and electronic health record systems.
