Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) First Assist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) First Assist to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside surgeons during surgical procedures, providing direct patient care and assisting with surgical tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective patient care during surgical procedures
- Assist with surgical tasks such as positioning patients, prepping surgical site, and providing instrumentation to surgeons
- Monitor patient vital signs, assess patient status, and respond to any changes or complications during surgery
- Provide post-operative care, including wound care, medication administration, and patient education
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, surgical procedures, and post-operative care provided
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- Certification as a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an operating room nurse or nurse first assist
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
