Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Outpatient
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) Outpatient, you will be responsible for providing nursing care and support to patients in an outpatient setting. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, administer medications, monitor patient progress, and educate patients on wellness and preventive care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their response to treatment
- Educate patients and their families on health issues, medications, and self-care techniques
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress in medical records
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing
- Prior experience in outpatient or ambulatory care settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred
