Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Stepdown
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Stepdown unit. The RN will be responsible for providing quality patient care, monitoring patients' conditions, and coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes for patients in the stepdown unit.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess patients in the stepdown unit to ensure they are stable and progressing according to treatment plans.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
4. Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
5. Document patient information and update medical records accurately and timely.
6. Respond to emergencies and provide necessary interventions to stabilize patients.
7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
8. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
9. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations governing healthcare practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a stepdown or critical care setting.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
