Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will be responsible for providing high-quality and compassionate care to critically ill patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, monitor, and manage the complex needs of ICU patients. Your expertise and quick decision-making skills will be crucial in saving lives and providing support to patients and their families during their most vulnerable moments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and monitoring patients' conditions and vital signs
2. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
3. Collaborating with doctors and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
4. Operating and monitoring specialized equipment such as ventilators and cardiac monitors
5. Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
6. Responding to emergencies and providing life-saving interventions
7. Keeping accurate and detailed medical records
8. Adhering to hospital policies and protocols
9. Participating in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in critical care nursing
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
3. At least 2 years of experience in an ICU setting
4. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
5. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
8. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
9. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals
10. Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
