Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room (OR)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room (OR) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures in the operating room. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the safety and well-being of the patient during procedures
- Prepare the operating room for surgery, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all supplies are readily available
- Monitor the patient's vital signs throughout the procedure and assist the surgeon as needed
- Administer medications as prescribed and provide post-operative care to promote healing and recovery
- Educate patients and their families on pre and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
