Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room (OR)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room (OR) team. The ideal candidate will provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The Registered Nurse (RN) will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess patients before surgery and develop a plan of care
2. Assist in the preparation of the operating room and sterile field
3. Monitor patients during surgery and advocate for their safety and comfort
4. Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the surgeon
5. Provide post-operative care and education to patients and their families
6. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and provide accurate documentation of patient care
7. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. BSN or higher degree in nursing preferred
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
5. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
8. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
