Job Title: Certified Surgical Tech (CST) Operating Room (OR)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Tech (CST) to join our Operating Room (OR) team. The ideal candidate will assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment for patients. The Certified Surgical Tech (CST) will be responsible for preparing the operating room, organizing surgical instruments, and assisting with patient care throughout the procedure.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Set up and prepare operating room for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgeries by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile field throughout procedure
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist with patient positioning and prepping
- Provide post-operative care to patients, including dressing changes and wound care
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and supplies used
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse surgical team
