Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg/Telemetry
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care to patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and monitoring patients' conditions, and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
2. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
3. Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care to patients.
4. Documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
5. Providing patient and family education on disease processes, medications, and self-care techniques.
6. Maintaining a clean and organized patient care environment.
7. Responding to emergency situations and effectively managing patient care during critical events.
8. Demonstrating knowledge of telemetry monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS and ACLS certification.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med Surg/Telemetry setting.
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
7. Proficiency in electronic medical record documentation.
