Job Title: LNA Long Term Care
Job Summary:
As a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in Long Term Care, you will be responsible for providing direct care to residents in long-term care facilities. You will assist with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and personal care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist residents with mobility and transfers
- Assist with feeding and hydration
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Observe and report any changes in residents' condition to the nursing staff
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Follow care plans and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of an approved LNA training program
- Current certification as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in the state of practice
- Prior experience in long-term care is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
