Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room (ER)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER), you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. You will provide immediate medical attention to patients with a wide range of injuries and illnesses, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform initial patient assessments and triage based on severity of condition
2. Administer medication, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians
3. Monitor vital signs and response to treatment
4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
5. Document patient care accurately and timely
6. Assist with emergency procedures and trauma resuscitation
7. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
9. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
10. Stay up-to-date on current practices and guidelines in emergency nursing
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and in high-stress situations
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
