Job title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will be responsible for providing quality care to patients in critical condition and responding to medical emergencies. You will assess patients, administer medications, collaborate with physicians, and provide support to patients and their families during times of crisis.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess patients' conditions and prioritize care based on severity
2. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
4. Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment
5. Provide education and support to patients and their families
6. Assist in emergency procedures such as intubation and CPR
7. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
8. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting
4. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environments
7. Knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols
8. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
